Well it looks like it takes big snow storms for me to update our blog. This one was record breaking again. In some areas they had over 30 inchs! I our back yard we measured 26.5 inches! When you hear people talk about being snowed in now I know what they mean. The snow started on Friday and Dan shoveled before we went to bed. When we woke up you never would have guess that he shoveled. Over night was when the most snow came. It was measured in 3hrs that it had snowed 10inches. Saturday Dan spend over 3hrs the first time he went out to shovel. It was still snowing so he had to go out again later to shovel again when it had finally stopped in the late afternoon. The shoveling done on Saturday was just the beginning. Today everyone was out again to really shovel. Get the car around the cars shoveled out and put somewhere. Our yard is now a mountain. Neighbors and friend out helping everyone helps make things go a lot faster. Dan is still out helping other people dig their way out. It is crazy! There is a back hoe in our neighborhood, out picking up snow to take it to who knows where. The kids are having a great time playing in the snow. With how much there is I wonder how long it will be before they get tired of it.
To top off this great snow storm they say to plan on another one on Tuesday that will bring between 2-6 more inches. It is funny because before when we got that much snow everyone would be running to the stores and emptying the shelves for fear with 2 or more inches there would be no way to get any where. After this snow storm 2-6inches is nothing!
Church was canceled, and schools are already canceled for tomorrow in our county. Others county's around us are canceled until at least Wednesday but with more snow coming that probably means most likely the whole week. They plan for a certain amount of "snow days" for schools each year I don't think they have ever used all of them but I am pretty sure they are going to run out this year. That means a shorter Spring Break or a later end of the school year.
Well we are happy to be safe an warm and stocked up on food.
On Thursday night we took Ryan to the ER and found out that he has bronchiolitis. His Dr told us earlier that day that it was just and ear infection but that night I didn't think that was the only problem so I took him to the ER while Dan stayed with the kids. Many of you already know how unhappy I am with our kids Dr's. I will just say now he will not be going to them for a follow up visit.
Everyone else is healthy and happy. Ryan is doing better and finally getting his big appetite back. Erin and Tyler being so picky we aren't sure what to do with someone who can eat nonstop!
Ryan is up from his nap. Perfect timing I got a post in!
