Well I guess the baby didn't want to be told when to come. Yesterday, January 9th, at 5:24pm, Ryan Steven Ricks was born in Manassas, Virginia. He weighed...... 9lbs!!! And is 21inches long. He is a big baby. I guess maybe that is why I was so big. He like Erin and Tyler was a quick delivery so that was nice. He still had some fluid in his lungs when he was born so they had to take him to the NICU to help him get it out and give him some oxygen. I am a little upset that they took so long to come and tell us how he was doing but after we waited for 3hrs since our last update we called and they said that he was looking good and they were about to take him into the nursery. Still it was 2hrs before they finally brought him to our room. I wish they would have been better about keeping us informed but at all is well and he is with us most of the time. He loves to sleep. I always have to wake him up to feed him and it takes awhile. Here are some pictures.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! 9 lbs?! Man alive! How did 9 pounds come out of YOU? ...AND a quick delivery! Ryan's a good name ;)
He is very cute and chubby. He reminds me of Connor--Connor was the same length and weighed 3 oz less. The fluid in the lungs must be a third child thing. I am glad he is doing well. It is scary even though they tell you everything will be ok. Give him a kiss from us. Post lots of pictures. I tried calling earlier but there was no answer. I will try again in a while. We are all glad he is here and healthy.
OH look at him he is so cute. I wish I was there to give him a kiss. Erin and Tyler look so happy to have another sibling. Keep the pictures coming I would love to see more.
