Tornado Watch
Yesterday the weather was crazy out here! From around 2:30pm-8:45pm we had tornado watches all around us. Before I went to pick Erin up at school it was raining so hard you couldn't see anything and it was really really windy. We get heavy rain storms and wind storms around here a lot at this time of year but it seemed to be more than usual. When I went to pick up Erin it was just raining a little and it wasn't windy at all. I saw on my way a large tree that had fallen over in someones yard, it didn't look like it hit their house so that was good. At the school the parents of walkers were waiting outside for a long time. Finally around 3:40pm we found out that they had done a storm lock down since a tornado watch had been sent out. Finally they started letting parents in but they had to sign out their child. They quickly realized that this wasn't going to work very well because there were so many parents. They then said that for the kids who were walkers and their parents always picked them up to walk they let them go to the cafeteria and when they saw their parent they were let them go. The parents joked about how it was sort of funny how the school had all of the kids safe inside just in case their was a tornado while all the parents stood outside. Around 6:00pm a tornado watch was announced again until 8:15pm in areas around us and for our area severe wind and thunderstorms. The strong wind and rain came again but it wasn't as bad as earlier. Anyway today they have announce there were possible tornado's all around us and definite tornado's is some areas. Our area really lucked out. Behind our house there are a bunch of trees so we are pretty lucky.

Jami, I didn't even know you had tornadoes in your area! They are scary- Uncle Doug and I had to sit through one in a large delivery type truck that we were picking up! Thankfully it didn't last very long!!
It is great to visit your blog!! See you soon in Utah!!
