This weekend was a very busy weekend. On Friday Erin went to her first sleep over. She won the prize for the first to fall asleep. When she is ready to sleep she goes to sleep and nothing will wake her! On Saturday morning Erin went to the primary program practice, then that afternoon we went into DC, and then that night I went to the RS Broadcast.
The National Book Festival was a lot of fun, even though it did rain pretty hard some of the time. Erin got to meet Marc Brown (Arthur author) and he signed one of her books. She also wanted to get Jan Brett's signature. I stood in the very very long line while Dan took Erin and Tyler around to some of the other tents where they had different activities. I had been standing in line for about 45 min and hadn't moved. Someone came to the lines and said that Jan Brett had a flight to catch and she would have to leave by 4:30 at the latest. He had some card that she had signed so people could put them in their books. He started with the line next to mine. He never made it back through my line because he ran out of those cards. I was frustrated because I didn't see anyone who he gave a signed card to leave! I knew that there would be no hope for me to get her signature so I left and went to find Dan and Erin and Tyler. We then went to the Scholastic Tent. Erin got to meet Ms Frizz and go through the Magic School Bus. Tyler and Erin also saw, Arthur, Mya and Miguel, Clifford, & Sid the Science Kid. We all had a really good time. If we come again next year we know that we will have to plan better on getting to the lines with the authors sooner so we can get all autographs that we want.
Here are some funny things said by Erin and Tyler. He told Erin that she was Libary Lil, a character in a book that he likes. He then said that she was a book and he was going to read her. He went over to her and "opened" her up and said Mary Poppins.
Another funny one.. I told him I was looking at something on his forehead and he told me that he only had three. Then he pointed and counted to his head on the right-1, top-2, and left-3.
Erin is enjoying dance and she has now told me that she also wanted to take a cheerleading class, and gymnastics. I told her that she wouldn't have time for all of those. She then let me know that she was the boss of her self and I was the boss of my self and she could do all of those things if she wanted!
Like I said in my last blog, I feel like I am getting so big. On Wednesday one of the YW in my ward couldn't belive that I still had 4 months left! Then today I was told that I went from not looking pregnant before and now I am looking VERY pregnant (it was one of the dads in my ward who said it). Lana & and Jen have told me to post a picture so here one is.
